Blocks Together Village Keepers program teaches young people and adults how to keep peace with families, friends, and the community with free trainings around:
How to use restorative justice and peace circles
How to be there for others during traumatic situations
Learn about local resources around jobs, education, and health resources.
This training is good for parents, block club leaders, grandparents, and youth workers.
Blocks Together has trained over 75 Village Keepers. These Village Keepers are then deployed to create their own events and initiatives in their schools or blocks. Village Keepers have organized, job fairs, created the BT Legal Clinic, conducted peace circles, and started in school programming to address trauma.
In addition we have a Village Keeper Resource Guide for anyone interested in helping a friend family in need of support.
