On Monday, CPS released the list of schools slated for “turnaround,” including Cassals and Piccolo. The West Humboldt Park Parent Network is meeting to decide what we will do about this latest round of school privatization.

We, the BT-Make It Happen Crew are doing our final project. We will be dedicating a flower bed to our loved one, Torrence Shorter. There will also be a BBQ and speakers from ‘We Farm’ & ‘Green Corps, who will speak about how to begin a neighborhood garden. All are welcome to come out and celebrate our big CVPP event for Restorative Justice. Restorative Justice is about dealing with harm in one’s life, community and the jail system. We will be presenting different outlooks on Restorative Justice and break off sessions about different components of R.J. and the different impacts that it has on our communities.
